United Way Delhi is an independent local not-for-profit organisation affiliated to the United Way Worldwide Family – one of the World’s Largest Leadership with 1800 affiliate chapters across 41 countries. United Way Delhi (UWD) since 2008, is working actively to advance the ‘common good’ for the local community through innovative interventions and partnerships. Our programs are based on the ‘Life-Cycle approach’. The interventions range from enabling Early Childcare and foundation Learning, Education and Youth Success, Financial Stability, Access to Healthcare, Environmental Stability and Sustainability, and Disaster Response and mitigation! We address the local issues by building youth leaders in the community, empowering women to take charge of their lives and families, enabling safe spaces for diversity & inclusion to thrive, and initiating the conversation to tackle larger problems of the environment!

Our Approach

We conceptualize, design, and even co-create targeted as well as large social impact projects in key sectors including Early Childcare and Foundational Learning, Education, Health, Environment, Livelihood/Financial Stability, and Disaster Preparedness/Response with a Pan-India presence. While our work spans across these thematic interventions, converging at some points, the cross-cutting lenses of diversity and inclusion add further value (LGBTQ+, women, differently-abled, and the elderly).
